A simple DIY Easter bucket

Inspired by blogger friend Meredith of the sweet T family, I managed to still find the same bucket from hobby lobby and grabbed a set of stickers for our little guy's name and monogram. Fast, easy and for under $5 (thanks to their 50% discounts) ~ I love it!

Busy School Boy

The last few weeks had been busy with our little boy's school activities starting with a Daddy and Me breakfast just in time for the start of the town's annual rodeo.
They both had a wonderful time with other dads and his friends and they get to play cowboys for a day.

Heading out to go to rodeo breakfast

The other exciting event they had at school was the Transportation day where various cars, trucks, boats, RVs and motorcycles parade in the school parking lot for all the students to ride and play with all morning. Despite the gloomy rainy day, they all had a grand time. I am so glad to know that this is a yearly event that the school hosts!

They were all thrilled to be in a RV

An antique ford truck

Everyone squeezing on a vintage Ford pickup. My favorite from the event!

The flatbed truck was everyone's fave

A favorite of the kids, they all get to pull the truck's horn and squeal with delight!

Fishing boat

Then finally, it was a treat for them to get to sit on a fishing boat and I am just a lucky mom who's able to share these days with him at school and able to witness the joy these activities bring to him!

Spring Fling

I don't know about you but I'm so ready for spring. I am longing to see our azalea bushes bloom and our grass to be as lively green as possible.

Last Sunday, I set up our table for some bright spring
and easter accents and I am loving it!

Do you love spring like I do?

Kids Say the Funniest Things

My friend Rae shared with us this funny story this morning. It made my day.

Stephen (her 5 year old nephew) preparing for his school interview.

Grandma : Stephen, the principal will ask you 1+1

Stephen: 2

Grandma : What will you say when he asks you your parents name?
Stephen: I will ask him if he just forgot since he already knows my mom and dad. My brothers go to the school so he knows them!

Grandma : You need to be serious because if you don't answer respectfully, he will not admit you to the school
Stephen: Does he know that big people go to jail when they don't let the kids go to school? The police will get him, he has to let me in, That's the law.

Funny!
