Fall Decorating

Take a peek at our home's most recent fall decor. I'm far from done but it's now coming along nicely.

I will share some more pictures once I've updated our fireplace mantel as well. I'm thinking more ghourds and burlap and some pretty fall flowers.

Today's post is just about some random ramblings of what's going on in my everyday life.

Yesterday I was excited to receive my prize giveaway from lovely blogger Michaela where I won an adorable Dani Notes monogrammed cupcake notecards. Cupcakes? How perfect! Btw, If you have not checked out her shop yet, you ought to. So much cute stuff! and Oh, I stalk her pinterest boards too!  

I had a little fiasco last time when I took home the wrong lunchbox from school. In my defense, it's the same exact lunch box Aston has (thank you Auntie Katherine for his personalized train lunchbox gift!) and the other little boy's name is Aiden. See? Can you blame me? Enter this new tin lunchbox by Rachel of Pencil Shavings Paper. Isn't it cute? I need to order one for me -LOL!

I'm still in the mood to iron-on anything on Aston's $2 plain shirts. Armed with coupons from Michael's and a few shirts from the Target clearance racks, I was iron-on trigger happy. I'm sure the folks at his school will never ever forget his name!

Lastly, a couple of weeks ago we attended our good friend's son's birthday party and this was the fantastic Mickey Mouse birthday cake! How awesome is that? It tasted delicious too!

So, what's going on with you? Are you still taking daily trips to Target to see if that Missoni for target throw that everyone wants appears miraculously? Or are you still clicking and refreshing that Target.com site? Seriously, I'm ready to move on to the next designer collaboration as my sister has scored me some Missoni stuff (from Chicago's Target) that I may not see till December (earlier I hope!)

Minted Mommy Cards

San Diego Highlights

Ok, so we only spent 2 whole days in San Diego and came back in town last Saturday just in time to attend my niece's wedding. It was a fun whirlwind trip packed with little dining and shopping adventures on top of the given funfare at Legoland. I think these were the REAL reasons why we were there....

I had to have the Granny apple fries before we leave the park. They are divine!

I had their New England clam bake. They were ok, not bad.

On other news, today I'm excited to meet up with friends to try out a Food Truck Food Court event. The weather has been nicer the past few days and I'm itching to dine al fresco. Lunch will be fun and it's great to catch up on some juicy news (aka gossip - LOL) with friends!

Legoland According to my iPhone

We had a headstart on the long weekend and flew to San Diego Legoland last Wednesday! 

The little guy enjoyed staring at the planes by the airport lounge before we boarded.
