End of School Party

We cant believe that the school year has already ended and this fall our little guy will be in Pre-K! 

We are so proud and happy for all his achievements in school and we cant wait for summer!

Health Scare

Early thursday morning around 1 am, we were in a nearby emergency room having our little guy checked out for a possible seizure event that occurred in the middle of the night. He was a brave boy fighting needles and CT scan testing, as we were finding some answers why such seizures were manifested by him.

Patiently waiting for test results. To spend the time away, he cuddled under the sheets and decorated his arm splint with stickers. 

The doctors then decided to move him to the main children's hospital for close monitoring and observation. We had a safe, uneventful ambulance ride to the main hospital.

His favorite thing to do was to walk the hallways and ride the wheelchairs. 

The EEG testing was not a pleasant one but he was such a trooper!

After over a day of anxiously waiting for final test results, we were grateful and blessed that all testing procedures yielded negative results. 

Once again, we thank all family and friends who prayed and offered words of comfort and strength that lifted us both as we were scared, anxious and unsure last Thursday. And in less than 48 hours, we were relieved as we got the answers we were hoping for. 

Thank you Lord for your healing hands. 

Easter Bowling Bash

Here's an overdue post of a few scenes from our recent family's Easter bowling bash that was held at Houston 300. Our family and relatives were in town for the holiday festivities, so we didn't waste time to book our small gathering at the private room of the fabulous bowling alley the day before Easter. It was so much fun that we are now considering having it as an annual event!

Date with Woody and Buzz

Last week we got the chance to watch Toy Story 3 Disney on Ice and we were all excited just as much as the little boy. We were able to score pretty decent seats and we were happy about that. The show did not disappoint ~ it was about 2 hours packed with characters dancing, skating, flying, singing and there was certainly never a dull moment just like the movie. 

As soon as we got seated, he wanted to go back out to pick out a Buzz toy (as if he does not have enough ~ we have Buzz in ALL sizes). With only minutes left before the show starts, they both scrambled out to get a toy souvenir. 

And here's my favorite iphone shot of the boys. Check out Aston's priceless face expression ~ it says it all!

Can you believe that my husband still owns a Canon AE-1 from the 70s? So it was a treat for him to get to finally play with the Rebel and our little guy played the ever willing model for a change. 

It was a fine day spring day and the photos came out nice. 

These are raw untouched images. I need to share with you a shot of his old camera. Its actually fascinating! 

A simple DIY Easter bucket

Inspired by blogger friend Meredith of the sweet T family, I managed to still find the same bucket from hobby lobby and grabbed a set of stickers for our little guy's name and monogram. Fast, easy and for under $5 (thanks to their 50% discounts) ~ I love it!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Busy School Boy

The last few weeks had been busy with our little boy's school activities starting with a Daddy and Me breakfast just in time for the start of the town's annual rodeo. 
They both had a wonderful time with other dads and his friends and they get to play cowboys for a day. 

The other exciting event they had at school was the Transportation day where various cars, trucks, boats, RVs and motorcycles parade in the school parking lot for all the students to ride and play with all morning. Despite the gloomy rainy day, they all had a grand time. I am so glad to know that this is a yearly event that the school hosts!

Then finally, it was a treat for them to get to sit on a fishing boat and I am just a lucky mom who's able to share these days with him at school and able to witness the joy these activities bring to him!
